Handcrafted in the mountains of Montana using solid, American grown wood, the artisans rough saw all the timbers and accessory trim pieces for a look uniquely reminiscent of the timber-framed homes once found on the American frontier. This classic day bed frame with pop up trundle mechanism from Montana Woodworks provides the customer with a robust and rustic platform on which they can rely for years of trouble free use. Mattresses not included. Some assembly required. Mortise and tenon joinery throughout. The trundle can accommodate a mattress (not included) that is 7 inches or less in height and still fit under the daybed for storage. The trundle, when closed and without a mattress is approximately 5" high. There is approximately 12 inches of space underneath the daybed. This item is sold "ready to finish" i.e., it is ready for the purchaser to paint, stain or stain and lacquer.
