Minimal assembly is required, simply snap the three, 2-piece legs together and connect to the top piece. Hook the top of the chain mechanism to the top hook and place the grate at the end of the chains. For safety, please do not assemble this over an active fire pit. The distance from leg to leg is approximately 34". The grill is adjustable and can hang about 14" to 23" off the ground. This cooking grate can hold up to 20 lbs.
